In 1978 in Burgaw, North Carolina Bibleway Temple Church Of God In Christ was founded by Elder Ronald Philllips and his wife Evangelist Gwendolyn Phillips.  The ministry continued to grow and in 1990 the church relocated to Kinston, North Carolina. It was during this time that the name was changed to Bibleway Church Of God In Christ.  For over 20 years Pastor Phillips, his wife and the members built a ministry that included but not limited to assisting ex-offenders transition into the community, feeding over 600 families each month in Lenoir county and surrounding areas.  Partnerships with community agencies such as NC Food bank aided the ministry to feed so many families.  Elder Phillips went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2010. He will be remembered as a caring individual who was concerned with the well being of others.  He was a father, preacher, teacher and a man after Gods own heart. His wife currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Thank God for the foundation of Bibleway.
